Laura Crawshaw, Ph.D., BCC founded the Boss Whispering Institute in 2008. The Institute trains and accredits professionals worldwide in the specialty practice of coaching abrasive leaders (Boss Whispering®), provides training in Courageous Conduct Intervention® for employers, and conducts research on abrasive leadership. Dr. Crawshaw is also a Teaching Assistant Professor for the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. Crawshaw has served an international clientele of organizations over the past forty years, including over 40 Fortune 500 companies, the United Nations and NASA. She has authored two books: Taming the Abrasive Manager: How to End Unnecessary Roughness in the Workplace, 2nd ed., and Grow Your Spine & Manage Abrasive Leadership Behavior: A Guide for Those Who Manage Bosses Who Bully, upon which this course is based. Dr. Crawshaw trains and speaks internationally. She has held membership in the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations, the British Psychological Society, the American Psychological Association, Harvard Business Review’s Advisory Council, Australia’s National Psychosocial Safety Network, the International Association on Bullying and Harassment at Work, Britain’s Association for Coaching and the International Coach Federation. She is also a Founding Fellow of Harvard’s Institute of Coaching.
