In this module, you will build a strong foundation in user experience (UX) research by defining what it is and why it matters. You will explore how UX research aligns with the product lifecycle. You’ll also explore both qualitative and quantitative research methods. You’ll learn how to conduct effective UX research interviews, designing surveys using Google Forms and Google Docs, Through hands-on labs, you’ll practice choosing the right methods for different situations and surveys for designing user drop-off.

In this module, you will organize qualitative research data into meaningful insights by first organizing user quotes and observations through affinity mapping. From these clusters, you will identify patterns and use them to build realistic user personas that reflect actual behaviors and needs. You’ll also explore how to leverage UX research to add new features in the digital products and how to map users’ requirements with product development strategies using prioritization matrix. Additionally, you’ll describe how to present UX research findings to the stakeholders and write insights for the improvement. Through hands-on labs, you will gain experience transforming unstructured data into structured data by creating personas and prioritize features for drafting actionable insights.
