Prof. Ernesto Damiani is Professor of Practice in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Khalifa University and Senior Director of its Center for Cyber-Physical Systems. He also holds a full professorship at the Università degli Studi di Milano, where he leads the SESAR research lab, specializing in data-intensive service-oriented architectures, cyber-physical systems security and privacy-preserving AI and data analytics. He has held visiting appointments at George Mason, Tokyo Denki, La Trobe and INSA Lyon, been a JSPS Fellow, and led numerous large-scale EU, Italian government and industry research projects. As Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Service Computing and former editor and committee vice-chair for multiple ACM and IEEE groups, he has earned distinctions including ACM Distinguished Scientist and awards from IEEE’s Industrial Electronics Society, Technical Committee on Homeland Security, and IFIP.
